Can't get GQL completion working

This request works when I hit enter on it the requst runs. I downloaded the schema and restarted vim. I don't get completion when I start typing a new field.

Just to make sure, you followed the docs? The downloaded schema needs to have a certain shape (can be downloaded with kulala itself) and needs to have a certain name to get picked up.

Maybe I'm confused. What server are you guys talking about? I'm talking about my netbox instance behind my work vpn. The server that serves the graphql API

Yes, downloaded it with kulala so all that should be correct.

You also created another issue with missing syntax highlights in gql. Do you have the treesitter grammar for gql installed? This feature requires the gql TS grammar to be installed afaik.

I did run TSInstall and got that installed. I have coloring now.

Have you tried if gql completion works with other servers, like https://studio.apollographql.com/public/star-wars-swapi/variant/current/home ?

Just to rule out that it's not your nvim config, but maybe some server configuration?

The Gql completion will work for valid Gql structures, i.e.
query/mutation ... {

}

I think this is due to the limitation of the GraphQL Treesitter grammar. It's odd, but should be fixable. I think the gql TS grammar is open source, so you can either fix it yourself or create an issue.

It is most likely the completion logic not recognizing multi line Gql variables. I will have a look.

I had a look at this. It is not a simple fix, so will add it to TODO, but no ETA.
