Implement CopyToClipboard block for Sharing component

Describe the desired feature

Implement a block on the Sharing component that enables the app developer to copy content to the system clipboard. The feature needs to work on both Android and iOS. Update the version number in YaVersion accordingly as well as YoungAndroidFormUpgrader.java and versioning.js.

To confirm scope before starting:

• Should CopyToClipboard be implemented as a method block on the Sharing component (similar to ShareMessage)?
• Should it accept text only, or also other data types (e.g., URLs)?
• For iOS, is using the system clipboard API (UIPasteboard) acceptable?
• Would you prefer handling a potential PasteFromClipboard block in the same change or as a follow-up issue?

Once clarified, I’m happy to submit a design proposal before implementation.

I’m interested in working on this issue as my first contribution to the project.

I plan to implement a CopyToClipboard block for the Sharing component with support for both Android and iOS, and update the required versioning files (YaVersion, YoungAndroidFormUpgrader.java, and versioning.js).

Feature: Copy to Clipboard block in Sharing component
Overview

Add a new block to the Sharing component that allows an app developer to copy arbitrary text to the system clipboard. This block should work consistently on both Android and iOS, enabling users to paste the copied content into other apps.

This fills a common gap where developers want to share content without invoking the system share sheet.

User-visible behavior

A new Sharing.CopyToClipboard block is available.

The block takes a text input.

When executed, the text is copied to the system clipboard.

No UI is shown to the user (silent operation).

The copied content can be pasted into any other app.

Example usage:

when Button1.Click
call Sharing1.CopyToClipboard("Hello World")

Platform implementation details
Android implementation

Use Android’s ClipboardManager.

Set the primary clip using ClipData.newPlainText(...).

Conceptually:

Get ClipboardManager from Context

Create plain text clip

Call setPrimaryClip()

This requires no additional permissions.

iOS implementation

Use UIPasteboard.generalPasteboard.

Assign the string to the pasteboard.

Conceptually:

Access the shared pasteboard

Set the string property

This also requires no additional permissions.

Thanks for the detailed design proposal — this aligns well with the approach I’m already working on

I’m currently implementing Sharing.CopyToClipboard(text) with:

• Android: ClipboardManager + ClipData.newPlainText
• iOS: UIPasteboard.general.string
• Silent operation (no UI)
• Version updates in YaVersion, YoungAndroidFormUpgrader.java, and versioning.js

I’ll share a PR once Android + iOS + versioning changes are complete.
