Meta issue for compost machine at WeDoo #201
Description
Meta issue for building a test unit for the compost machine at WeDoo.
This version will be temperature - to attach to the box and air temp/humidity to go in the vent.
- DS18B20 on black 1m cable
- will be drilled through outer case, and thermally fixed to inner
- SHT40 on black 1m cable
- suspended (e.g. taped/zip-tied) inside vent
- Power will come from USB power. They'll add a socket inside the control box.
- Comms from WiFi
- Dev board - trying the really cheap generic C3 that they sourced via their agent.
Future options ...
- Pile moisture, really hard since its moving and corrosive, and soil moisture stuff is often innaccurate even in soil
- Relay controlled fan in the vent (just my idea, might not be useful)
Issues
- Serial doesnt come up after programming, needs a reboot, question is whether it comes up after OTA
- Maybe try adding power to a pin so can make wiring simpler.
