Finding Mitsuba developers

I really like using Mitsuba, but it lacks some key features and like every other resource can be further improved.

I would like to build and develop custom features for Mitsuba. Are there contributors to Mitsuba who are looking for extra development work? If so, where do I find them? Since most contributors are researchers, their availability and priority are mostly aligned with their own research goals.

So my question is, where is the best place to find Mitsuba developers that:

• Are familiar with existing codebase (and hence can improve it)
• Have the time & desire to develop custom features / plugins
