##Image Standards for the Grasshopper Primer## Including images and screenshots can be extremely useful to help clarify concepts or steps in creating a Grasshopper definition. To help maintain the consistency of the Primer, please follow the following guidelines when creating new images.

Images

  1. GitBook renders images at a resolution of 72dpi. Images that are too wide for the screen will be re-sampled down to fit the maximum width of the screen. For best results, use images that are 72dpi.
  2. Avoid large vertical images in favor of horizontal images whenever possible.
  3. To call out a specific component or focus in a image, use Leaders and Notes. Avoid using text inside an image. Keeping all text as notes allows it to be translated into other languages.

Notes

  1. Notes should be included directly below the image
  2. An image with more than one note should include numbered leaders, and a numbered list of notes
  3. Notes should use Blockquote formatting. Blockquotes in Markdown are created using a > symbol at the beginning of a line.

Leaders

  1. Keep leaders as simple as possible, avoid leaders which cross over the image itself
  2. If there are multiple leaders, use numbered leaders that correspond to a list of notes below the image.
