Compiler Design with ELF

It's good idea to design compiler that generate ELlF directly instead of relying on other assemblers?

No I'm studying it now. I decided to choose compiler design because I wanted to specialise in low-level programming. And I choose the project whenever I wanted to learn something instead of learning it in row
