I think a discussion might be helpful for me here.
I am trying to manage addresses using the API.
I can now add addresses, but even after forcing a reload using the API like mentioned here, it still is not working: #685 (comment)
Is there a difference, if I start smartdns from CLI and NOT as Windows Service?
If I add the rule entry to the normal config it works, but it seems not to load the managed addresses when doing a reload for me.
I can see in the service definition for each OS it adds the managed folder like here:
