Bring Back the "Prevent Page Refresh (Ctrl+R)" Setting for Typing Tests #6476
-
Hi Monkeytype team, First off - love the platform, it's hands-down the best typing site out there. I noticed that the "Prevent page refresh" setting (which used to block Ctrl + R / F5) seems to be missing in the latest update, or at least it’s no longer accessible from the main settings or command line. This setting was incredibly useful for avoiding accidental reloads mid-test, especially for people like me who type fast and occasionally hit Ctrl unintentionally. Could you please consider bringing it back or adding a toggle again in settings/command line? Even a hidden config flag or preset-based workaround would be appreciated. Thanks for all your work on Monkeytype 🙌 |

We never had a prevent page refresh setting in the settings page. |

Found out you can just change your keybinds on Brave browser to exclude Control + R. Thanks everyone. |
