Idea: Support for Quenya in Tengwar (Unicode) Script

Summary:
Currently, Quenya is almost always displayed using the Latin alphabet, but what if we allowed it to be written in its native script — Tengwar — using existing Unicode encoding? This would unlock a more immersive and authentic experience for learners and fans alike.

Background:
Tolkien developed Tengwar as the writing system for several of his Elvish languages, including Quenya. Although most people today read and write Quenya using the Latin alphabet for convenience, the Tengwar script is a core part of the aesthetic and linguistic identity of the language.

The Free Tengwar Project has already created a Tengwar Unicode font and keyboard layouts that allow for full text entry and display using standardized code points. This means we already have the infrastructure needed to support Quenya in its original form digitally.

Why this matters:

1. Immersion: For many Tolkien enthusiasts, reading Quenya in Tengwar feels more "real" and rooted in Middle-earth. It's not just a cosmetic change; it's part of the experience.
   

2. Practice Tool: Fans (myself included!) want to practice typing and reading in Tengwar, and having native content written this way would be an incredible help.
   

3. Educational Value: Seeing how words and phonemes map from Latin to Tengwar deepens understanding of both the language and the script.
   

4. Unicode Support Exists: With proper font support, it's now technically viable across browsers and platforms. No hacks or image rendering required.
   

Proposal:

1. Add optional support for displaying Quenya text in Tengwar (using Unicode fonts).
   

2. If relevant, allow toggling between Latin and Tengwar scripts on pages or outputs.
   

3. Consider providing a downloadable Tengwar font recommendation or keyboard layout for contributors/readers who want to type in it.
   

Bonus: A growing community is already engaging with Tengwar on blogs, YouTube, and even Duolingo forums. Supporting it here would both showcase and strengthen that community.
