I used to practice on other typing website before monkeytype. They used to have feature. I think it'll be great feature if we incorporate this into monkeytype.

you can enable word history and the heatmap on the result screen

On mouse-over you get the wpm and the color the word has is like "good", "nice" and "great" in your example.

Hey @fehmer , this is at the end of the test; the feature that I am showing is during the test. It will show live speed on top of the word how you type. You can have a look here .

Not sure if it makes sense to add during the test - why would you spend time to try to read the speeds fast instead of completing the test and then taking the time to analyse?
