pdfjs-dist.getDocument() loads forever in my Electron App

I have a simple electron react app created with electron-vite with:

Where I transfer an ArrayBuffer after reading a pdf file from the main process to the render process.

Inside my render process, I want to create the document.

export default async function getPdfDoc(buffer: ArrayBuffer): Promise<PDFDocumentProxy> {
  const doc = await getDocument(new Uint8Array(buffer)).promise
  return doc
}

But it never finishes, while it finishes almost instantly in the main process. What am I doing wrong?
