Output doesn't match Firefox Reader View

I've tried this on a number of sites simply by copying the readability.js script into the console and then executing it on the page and the output doesn't seem to match the Firefox reader view at all. Headers and Nav are still left on the page and the page just seems a bit broken/off compared to the readerview. Is the logic used by Firefox different/augmented?

No, not really. Firefox uses Readability from a worker thread here, after cloning the DOM and reserializing it to an XML-compatible DOM and parsing it with JSDOMParser (also in this repository). Options are here. The result also gets filtered through some anti-XSS stuff, which might remove attributes and the like. It's possible all of that introduces subtle differences with what you describe, but it's hard to tell what exactly you're encountering as you've not given more details on how you're running the script and on what pages you see those differences.
