AttributeError: 'str' object has no attribute 'copy'

Hi,

i am trying to explode INSERT entities like this:
entity.explode(msp)

This works for most entities but for some I am getting a:
AttributeError: 'str' object has no attribute 'copy'

Any ideas what could be the issue?

Sorry, this is not useful for me. Please provide the script and the (zipped) DXF data to reproduce the error.

Hi,

thank you for the fast response. Unfortunately I can not share the dxf but I can dig deeper in the code:
If I do a
print({key: entity for key, entity in self.items()})

in line 102 of dictionary.py I get:

It seems like the issue occurs because of the string value "27827" in "AcDbRepData" which can not be copied.

I know what is happening, but I need the DXF file to understand why this happens.
