I'm trying to get HDR content that is mastered at 0.0005 / 1000 cd/m2 to display correctly on a DisplayHDR 400 screen in HDR mode that clips at 0.04 / 430 cd/m2 MPV is detecting everything correctly via a windows HDR calibration ICC, I'm using the build from today commit 5b0cfe8 and have an empty config. Which looks like it defaults to The black levels are not being raised to match the displays minimum, but the maximum is being mapped suitably. This seems like a bug, the displays minimum brightness is only used for HDR to SDR tonemapping at the moment.

It's currently assumed that PQ signal data always goes down to absolute zero, regardless of the chosen black nits level. This was as a result of earlier discussion regarding the expectation of compositors and monitors about the PQ value scale. |

Ok, good to know it's working as intended. I guess I'll not use HDR mode on this monitor then, it's not very effective anyway |
