Elevated black levels outside active video area #756

Describe the bug
The black levels outside the active video areas are not black, they're dark grey. Tried setting the background setting to black, no difference.
To Reproduce
To reproduce, try the last beta version with any video. May not be visible on a non-OLED or mini LED screen with sufficiently low black levels.
