Is supporting sway / i3 possible? This project does it: https://git.sr.ht/~jcc/vim-sway-nav

If that project does it, then it's possible, but as I don't use sway or i3 or know how to set it up, I have no way to test. But I would definitely take a community PR with a commitment of ongoing maintenance.
