Description

smart-splits does a lot of moving around windows and checking stuff in order to support various features.

I'm sure there's better ways to do some of it.

This issue will likely remain open for a while as I try different things.

I have just migrated from https://github.com/numToStr/Navigator.nvim
Unfortunately I do notice a significant regression in terms on speed (nvim --> zellij) less than 1s but still noticeable and a dealbreaker for me I think. i'll probably migrate back while this improves
