Omitted Step during install

(1) THANK YOU! Everything is soldered up, just awaiting the dongle
(2) In your posts on U-D you mention needing to disable BT and built-in-serial but I didn;t see that on Git, so just for the sake of saving someone from pulling out too many hairs:

You need to disable the serial console and BT since they typically use the built-in UART.

Also look at https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/uart.md specifically "Disable Linux serial console" to disable the built-in serial console.

Actually, on https://github.com/mrworf/serial-bridge/blob/main/ISY994.md#wiring-it-up-solder-edition I mention you need to follow this https://github.com/mrworf/serial-bridge/blob/main/OPTIMIZE_BOOT.md#step-1-free-up-the-serial-port or serial port will be (as you mentioned) used by RPi.

But I will gladly admit that it's quite hidden 😸
