Timeline for Base UI stable release

Hi Base UI team 👋
The latest version is currently 1.0.0-beta.2 and I noticed earlier blog posts had mentioned a possible stable release target in late 2024.

I was wondering:

• Is there an updated timeline or roadmap for when Base UI might reach its first stable (non-beta) release?
• Are there specific features or milestones you’re aiming to complete before calling 1.0 stable?

Knowing this would help me and my team plan migration from MUI Base to Base UI (or if we should consider using other packages for our needs).

We hope to have a stable release this year, so "late 2025" 😬

@emjony Yep as Albert mentioned, v1 will be this year. Probably the October release. We don't have specific features/components in mind, it's more about stability, refining APIs, and consolidating APIs library-wide to minimise the risk of future breaking changes.

However, if you're on MUI Base, I'd highly recommend migrating asap, since Base UI is already much more feature-complete, has a lot fewer bugs, and has dramatically better a11y.
