Description
Currently, the footer background color is the same as the other sections, which makes the UI less visually distinct. Also, the footer does not include social media links.
Proposed solution:
Update the footer background color to make it visually distinct from the main content.
Add social media icons (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, etc.) in the footer using an icon library such as Font Awesome.
If actual links are not available, placeholder (#) links can be used for now.
Benefit:
This will improve the overall UI/UX, make the footer stand out, and give users quick access to social media platforms, making the site look more professional.
Plan:
I’d be happy to work on this enhancement and open a pull request after approval.
Alternative solutions (optional):
Instead of a solid background color, the footer could use a gradient or a subtle border-top to separate it from the main content.
Instead of adding multiple social media links right away, we could start with just one (like GitHub or LinkedIn) and expand later.
I’m open to suggestions on design and implementation. If you prefer a different color scheme or a different set of social links, I can adjust accordingly.
