Looks like this is caused by AppImageLauncher. Without AppImageLauncher, the AppImage should work fine. Maybe there is something we can change so that it does work with AppImageLauncher, but then we'd need to know what exactly.

Same here. 4.5.2 was the last version to work for me, 4.6.x doesn't launch. Running the appimage from the terminal gives this output:

Yes, so the same advice applies - don't use AppImageLauncher with MuseScore. Just run MuseScore directly.

A quick web search of the error reminded me of the situation here:

See TheAssassin/AppImageLauncher#602 (which mentions this same error message) which is a duplicate of TheAssassin/AppImageLauncher#585 which has been fixed by TheAssassin/AppImageLauncher#690, which is part of AppImageLauncher 3.0.0 alpha and beta.

We were advised at #22511 (comment) to start using the static runtime (which has significant benefits on non-AppImageLauncher systems), even though AppImageLauncher support for it is still in beta / was still in alpha back then.
