Can't distinguish in between text font families

Description with steps to reproduce

(Windows)

1. Simply select a text whose font can be directly changed in "Properties"(here is "Expressions");
2. Change it to a font belonging to a font family;
3. Notice that the appearance of the text won't change when changing within a font family(Here is between Nepomuk and Nepomuk SC, which displays in small-uppercase appearance only)
   Since the net lag exists, I can't upload pics for reference. Sorry.

For the record, this came up before, also with Nepomuk, in #29373, but that has been marked as fixed so apparently there is more to it.
