Waybar and Workspaces

I am looking for some guidance on workspaces. It does not take long before my display becomes:

1 2 3 4 5 8 and therefore what happened to 6 and 7? 'swiping left or right with trackpad can never reach some workspaces, like 1

So this happens after some time, and after opening and closing windows of course, and so, I am curious, what exactly is losing track of workspaces? Is it integral to waybar? Is it hyprland itself?

Is this the reason folks are adopting hyprland scrolling whereby all open application essentially occupy one continuous container and we "scroll" left or right?

Can you try SUPER +7 to access the 7th workspace.
And then open a terminal with SUPER + Return
Then move back to 1 and the 7 workspace should still be there.

If you need more workspaces than the default 5 you can add more in the Dotfiles Settings app.

The workspaces are all there. So yes, SUPER+7 would take me there. I will see about expanding the number visible to be 10 and maybe that will help.

As for the swiping, perhaps it is part and parcel with this concept of the limit of 5, even though there could be 7 or 8. Swiping thus becomes locked at 3 and no lower if I was for example on 8. 8-5 = 3 and thus trying to swipe to 1 or 2 is impossible.

Small things like that! Easily solved I suppose.

Would be nice to try this concept of the hyprscroll at some point! Maybe that can become a selectable option!
