[Question] Jellyseerr and SSO?

Will the jellyseerr integration work if I change my jellyfin logins to SSO/LDAP with something like authentik?

It should work as long as the user IDs match, for both Jellyfin and Jellyseerr. i.e. it should be the same user that is imported to Jellyseerr.

To be clear about this: It works, if Jellyfin-SSO is used and the generated jellyfin users imported into Jellyseerr? What about Jellyseerr's OIDC support? It doesn't seem to work right now, but maybe there's a trick to it.

Afaik when using Jellyfin-SSO, the password for the generated users is set to a nonsensical/auto-generated password that obviously nobody knows. Importing those users into Jellyseerr would then mean they could never log in. Unless I guess you import them first, then connect that account with OIDC? Does that make sense?

So to answer my own question:

First import the SSOd users from Jellyfin before logging in with any of them into Jellyseerr.

After that link their accounts to the SSO accounts in Jellyseerr. This right now is a manual process that involves editing the DB.

After that everything works.

Alternatively you can set the jellyfinUserId in the Jellyseerr DB. Either way it's manual DB editing
