Recommendations for my settings to reduce shimmering or flickering

Hello Nagadomi, I want to start by saying thank you for the new fine adjustment feature on iw3 Desktop, it has helped me a lot in figuring out the ideal strength and convergence for my films.

I do have one question though I've been noticing some shimmering or flickering effects on some films especially ones that have snow, sand or fast moving objects or people.
Is there anything on my current setup that I posted you would recommend me to change ? Thank you, your advice is valuable to me.

I can think of two possible causes:

1. The depth for particles (snow, sand) or motion blur (fast moving objects) is unstable (a depth estimation model issue).
2. The particles are closest objects to the camera, causing the maximum disparity to flicker (a normalization issue).

In either case, this cannot be fixed by changing the current settings.

For point 2, it might be possible to solve the issue by using the median disparity instead of the maximum disparity as the reference value for the 3D Strength. The recently released Elastic3D uses this approach.
However, since the current iw3 warping and inpainting models are trained based on the maximum disparity, it may not be easy to change.

Thank you for the reply, to be honest it doesn't bother me that much, it only appears in certain scenes, I'm actually very happy with my conversions overall. I could say we are very close to studio released 3D conversions.
