Frequent UDP connection issue

This block of mine is inside a while loop (with sleep delay of 0.005 seconds), and I've also used a try-except block with the getDREF & getPOSI commands, but this UDP just never comes back as soon as one message is lost. Never thought building an XPlane dataset would be this time consuming.

Are there any alternatives to building a dataset using XPlane?

You can try to use the native UDP socket available in X-Plane
