The selection process doesn't feel smooth

This is a purely UX related issue. When I want to select a region, the guidelines feel as if they are flickering. I have a decent refresh rate on my laptop.

Could you please check if the selection process could be made smoother?

Unfortunately this is a known issue. Contributions are welcome (as long as they don't significantly increase complexity)
