How do I get the arrows app to run locally?

Hi,

I am fairly new to react. I am trying to use the Arrows app locally to interface with another application that I am developing. I managed to run npm install and npm start. The server starts up but the app fails to resolve and then crashes. Is there a recommended method for trying to run this app locally?
