Slow training on local machine ? (RTX 3090 or 2080ti)

I'm running the code on my local machines, and I observe the speed is slow during training.

• Figure 1: Training time on RTX 2080 Ti (11 GB VRAM ).
• Figure 2: Training time on RTX 3090 (24 GB VRAM).

OS*: Ubuntu

• RAM: 64 GB

Is this level of performance expected for the official implementation on my gpus?

Are you using Nerfstudio?
Then, Try adjusting the number of GS with the stop_split_at option. The number of GS affects the speed. While the number of GS is certainly related to the quality of the scene, it's up to you to balance speed and quality.
Also, make sure the color_corrected_metrics option is not enabled. It's probably not enabled, but it's worth checking.
