Cable trace output is shown multiple times, why ?

Hi,

I have the following question concerning the Netbox tracing functionality:
We have thousands of cable registered in Netbox. Of course we use Netbox trace functionality extensively. But what I don't understand is why it shows identical cable trace output multiple times whereas there is just 1 trace from start to finish. The url for these cable traces differs slightly, i.e it shows different values for a cablepath_id parameter, but the shown output is identical. I also compared the api output and the output is equal. So, my question is : why is this? Is this an error, or is it the consequence of a feature that we don't use.
We use Netbox 3.4.1.
If somebody can explain this to me, I would be grateful to experience another day that I can learn something new!
