Hi folks. I've just installed a brand new Debian 12 with Python 3.11.2 and trying to fresh install Netbox 3.5.5.
When I run upgrade.sh I see this:

My search brought me here, same error on new install, I see it is fixed in the develop branch, when can we expect this to be released/fixed in master branch? (or is there a workaround) so I can continue my installation?

Untested, but you should be able to install v3.5.4 first (which will create the database), then upgrade to v3.5.5 (or v3.5.6 when it comes out)

If installing from git: git checkout v3.5.4 will get you to where you want to be, then run ./upgrade.sh and get everything working, then git checkout master and ./upgrade.sh again.

Hi! Happend to me too on a fresh installation of 3.5.8 on Ubuntu 22.04

The solution was to first download version 3.5.4, running upgrade from there, and only then downloading 3.5.8 and run upgrade.sh again.

It should have been fixed in 3.5.6 onwards. Can you show the exact error you got when doing a fresh 3.5.8 install?
