Working at an ISP, we are having an issue with modeling internet circuits to customers.
The "Overlays" section of Netbox works very well to model layer 2 transport circuits for customers. It allows for modeling a circuit internally, meaning interfaces that terminate L2VPNs can still be connected via cables. It can also be connected to more than 2 terminations depending on the type, so if a customer has 2 or more ports at the same A or Z location on the same circuit, this can also be modeled.
Having the ability to assign IP Address Space to an overlay would allow us to model internet circuits as well. Having an ability to assign a "Commit Rate" similar to the functionality in the Circuits section of Netbox would also be helpful. For us, this would mean being able to model all customer circuits in the same place.
Is this feature something that anyone else would find useful?
