Steps to Reproduce

• Upgrade netbox-docker to 4.0.2 and netbox to v4.5.5
• Watch docker logs of netbox container

Expected Behavior

netbox container should start and get healthy

Observed Behavior

netbox container is in a restart loop throwing the following error (full trace):

I second that. Deployment of NetBox 4.5.5 fails locally (when calling ./upgrade.sh) or with netbox-docker (v4.5.5-4.0.2), using either Ubuntu 24.04 or a container deployed on Debian 12.

i just updated my docker container (with, i believe, 4.5.4?) to 4.5.5 and now get those errors on startup as well

Thanks for the report, and I’m sorry you’re having trouble updating your NetBox instance.

Based on the information provided, this does not appear to be a bug in NetBox itself. The warning below suggests the issue is likely coming from the netbox_secrets plugin, which may not yet be compatible with the newer GraphQL libraries used by your current NetBox version:

It would also help to include more details about your environment there, especially which plugins and plugin versions are installed.

Since this seems to be related to a plugin rather than NetBox core, I’m going to convert this issue to a discussion. I’d recommend opening an issue with the netbox_secrets plugin maintainer as well, if one has not already been reported.
