Custom script ChoiceVar() - default value?

I have the following example in a custom script:
commitment = ChoiceVar( label='Commitment', choices=(('h24','H24'),('h8','8-17')), )

Now, I would like the 'h24' to dedault in the list, but I can't get it to work. What would be the value at the questionmark?
commitment = ChoiceVar( label='Commitment', choices=(('h24','H24'),('h8','8-17')), default=? )

Have tried all kinds fof variants.

Forget it, I must have been tired......a space had creeped in to my code.......
