qb desktop not launching after qbactivator

POS activation is all well and fine.

QB Desktop on the other hand refuses to run at all after qbactivator runs.
Tried with v23 and 22, same deal. Maybe user error over here?

To Reproduce

• tried using qbactivator 0.20.2 to the current version
• installed qb desktop fully like normal (you still need license # to install)
• after install, ran qbactivator; says open quickbooks to finisg activation
• QB doesn't want run at all -- exe executes than goes away quickly

Expected behavior
Should allow me to get to program to "Help > About" to finish activation

Hello Sir,

I downloaded qb pos V19 follwed by installed on my computer successflly, however after configuration practice company it pops up with invalid product number. upon clicking OK it exit the programme with no further action.
please help
