Consider supporting image registration with Elastix?

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Most of the datasets in neuroscience involve a static camera, but some drone-based conservation ones involve smooth, mostly translation motion that one may want to subtract.

Describe the solution you'd like
It could be useful to support in ethology the computation of a rigid transform between two images.

elastix is a reference package for this.

Yes. This feature addresses the problem of aligning images when there is smooth, mostly translational motion, particularly in drone-based conservation datasets.

Describe the Solution You’d Like

The PR implements image registration using Elastix (SimpleITK) to compute a rigid transformation between two images.
The register_images() function performs image alignment, helping stabilize footage affected by motion.

Describe Alternatives You’ve Considered

Initially attempted an OpenCV-based approach (ORB + Homography), but it didn't consistently produce accurate results.
Chose Elastix as it is widely used for medical and neuroscience imaging and provides robust rigid transformations.

Additional Context

A unit test has been included (test_image_registration.py) to validate the function.
This implementation does not alter existing functionality, only adds new capabilities.
