Explicitly handle datatype #249
Description
Further to SpikeInterface/spikeinterface#4371, it might be an idea to cast the data to float up front, and handle any preprocessing-data storage (either cleaning up automatically after sorting, or writing to float with a warning on data size, or providing a data storage in int16 option that raises a lot of warnings / an error if any interpolate function was used in preprocessing
