This is a follow-up issue on the discussion from #129 about the introduction of default parameters and the distinction between "need-to-have" parameters and "platform-specific" parameters. This came up because the newly introduced parameter v_reset can be seen as platform-specific, while others see it as a need-to-have parameter for every spiking neuron.
