hey guys, I've installed xrdp as a server a few times and gotten it working, and I rolled out a new machine today and for the life of me I dont think I'm doing anything different than before but shortly seconds after login the RDP session gets closed, but the Xorg session continues in the background. I dont think I've had this issue before. What do you think might be the cause? There are a few errors but some seem pretty benign. XORG LOG

@kfoxirl I can understand the reticence to raise a full issue on this. Since you haven't filled in the form anyway, I'll convert this to a question in the discussions area. |

@kfoxirl - thanks for raising this. It's easier to use github than gitter (IMO), and there's more public visibility of the issue. Can you provide us with a bit more info:-

OK, all fixed, thank you for the help guys, you definitely put me on the right track. For prosperity the steps I took to get everything working. I built from source in order to get the GPU acceleration options then:
After that I was able to launch xterm, and then upon installing a wm (i3 in my case) I can now launch the window manager successfully. Thanks again! |
