Installing Dependencies Error (Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon)

Very new to Linux and want to try xrdp to work on it remotely.

No errors on getting the sources.

Used the default command for getting dependencies and was met with this error:

sudo: ./scripts/install_xrdp_build_dependencies_with_apt.sh: command not found

I also tried using a different command from a blog while troubleshooting:

wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/neutrinolabs/xrdp/refs/heads/devel/scripts/install_xrdp_build_dependencies_with_apt.sh sudo ./scripts/install_xrdp_build_dependencies_with_apt.sh max

@Molg3ra - did you cd into the source directory before issuing the sudo command?

What do you get for :-

pwd
ls ./scripts/install_xrdp_build_dependencies_with_apt.sh

Yes, I did cd into the source directory using

cd "${XRDP_SRC_DIR}"

Using this command while in cd looked like this:

(myuser)@(computername):~/xrdp$ pwd
ls ./scripts/install_xrdp_build_dependencies_with_apt.sh

And returns this:

/home/(myuser)/xrdp
ls: cannot access './scripts/install_xrdp_build_dependencies_with_apt.sh': No such file or directory

It doesn't look like you've got the right contents for the directory.

What do you get for these commands within the xrdp directory?

ls
git show HEAD

@Molg3ra - I've just realised what's going on here.

If you attempt the build from a tarball rather than a git clone, the scripts directory isn't copied over. I'd failed to realise this, so I apologise for that.

I've updated the instructions on the Wiki which I hope make sense to you.
