Per-Monitor DPI scaling supported?

I connect to a Linux PC (Mate desktop) using the Remote Desktop Connection with the option "Use all monitors for remote session" enabled. I have two monitors: 13" laptop and 27" external monitor. The icons appear tiny on the external monitor.

My question: Can we apply different DPI settings for each monitor, or is there any way to scale the desktop icons, texts, ... appropriately for each monitor?

In summary, this isn't supported well by X11. The changes we made to support what we can were made for xrdp v0.10.2 / xorgxrdp v0.10.3.

Specifically, do the changes implemented in v0.10.2 help for achieving per-monitor DPI?

They will only help if your desktop environment supports them. I'd be amazed if it does based on my own experiences to date.
