I'd like to be able to minimize my full-screen RDP session to get back to my Windows 10 host machine with a keyboard shortcut, though none of the shortcuts I found seem to work - I suspect those are only for cases where both host and client are Windows, for examples see: Is there a solution I can use together with XRDP + arch connected to from a Windows 10 client? At the moment I have to use the mouse to click the minimize button in the rdp client's full-screen bar on the top.. |

Not actually minimizes, but Ctrl+Alt+Break works for me. It toggles full-screen mode and window-mode. So I can get back from full-screen. |

Thank you for your reply, good to know! Sadly my hardware is a laptop that doesn't come with a break key (which I guess should be labeled "Pause" or "Unterbrechen" on my German keyboard..) I found this article which says it might be "hidden" behind one of those shortcuts:
I'll try those tomorrow, no more Windows machines for me today ;) |

today I've got a real keyboard and it works as you described with Ctrl+Alt+Break (or Strg+Alt+Pause in german..) - On my Laptops keyboard it works with Strg+Alt+Fn+B Once It's out of full-screen mode, alt+tab is handled by windows which allows to switch to whatever window I need in the situation, thanks! directly minimizing in a single step = with a single keyboard shortcut would be even better, so if anybody has a solution for that, I'd love to read it :) |

Here are all the shortcut keys that mstsc implements: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/termserv/terminal-services-shortcut-keys So I'm afraid that doing that in one step requires external hotkey helper apps. BTW, this may depend on the laptop model, but three-finger horizontal swipes on the touchpad can switch between top-level apps even when the RDP client is in full-screen mode. I |
