When "allow the display to sleep" is enabled, Lock Screen then won't stay on!

Unless I'm being stupid, If you have "allow the display to sleep" enabled, then when you lock your Mac, the lock screen won't stay on! Is there a way you can allow a screen saver to play and also keep the lock screen on without having to change any settings?
