2.48 imminent?

I'm about to start using git-filter-repo and README.md says 2.48 is coming out January 2025. Is the release imminent or shall I just start with 2.47?

The comment was about git-2.48 coming out in Jan 2025, not about git-filter-repo 2.48 coming out then. Anyway, thanks for reminding me to fix the README; now that the git release has been made with my upstreamed changes, I can remove that comment.
