How to extract folders/files from all branches and move to another branch with history?

I have 3 branches: M, X, Y.

• Branch M has a file m.txt, branches X and Y branched off from M, they have their own files x.txt in branch X, y.txt in branch Y, and m.txt in both.
• Each branch made changes to m.txt: 2 commits in M, 3 commits in X, and 3 commits in Y.

How do I move the file m.txt and its history of 8 commits to a new branch W?

For example:

• m.txt changes1 (committed files: m.txt)
• m.txt changes2 (committed files: m.txt)

• m.txt changes1 (committed files: m.txt, x.txt)
• m.txt changes2 (committed files: m.txt, x.txt)

When I use git filter-repo --path src/app, absolutely everything disappears!
