Email Register without Magic Link

Hi guys,

i would like to speed up the register process through Magic Link by automatically logging in new users after the sign in form and verifying users via email later on.

Process

new user: signIn Form => if new email => register user => automatically login user
exsisting user: signIn Form => if email exsisting => send magic link => login user

Is that possible, did somebody do that already?
