Where is the 'persisted sessions' stored on the database?

I've set up my [...nextauth].js such that it connects to a database and I've set the jwt option to false, but I'm checking my MongoDB database and although I see some activity on the operations chart I don't see what having this database option does at all?

New to this all so sorry if it's a silly question
