There are times when a simple task that could be a command needs more to be accomplished.
For example, Home Assistant Assist can be used while you are not at your PC but still allows you to do tasks.
Imagine if that power was in Nextcloud, to say in a room that you want an email sent or a talk message and without going on your PC or phone you are able to do those things.

I would like the MCP server to be able to connect to Home Assistant using this MCP Integration in Home Assistant.

I don't see any other way to get that connection, if there is I would really be interested in it.

I am not sure if you can do this already, but I tried many times and ways, and it did not work.

I do not clearly understand your issue, have you tried to put the home assistant MCP address in mcp settings? You need to clearly describe what have you done and what does not work.

I put the url https://your-nextcloud-domain.com/index.php/apps/app_api/proxy/context_agent/mcp/ in the linked Integration with my domain name and Failed to connect is given.

Here is an error message.

Hi @TheBest-Name,

Nextcloud’s MCP server requires header-based authentication, which is currently unsupported by Homeassistant’s MCP integration. This functionality would be available if Homeassistant adds support for header-based authentication or if issue #74 is resolved, which we currently lack the resources to address ourselves.
