[Bug]: Version 3.17.3 (Linux) crashes on return from sleepmode "AppRun.wrapped", memory dumped

Bug description

Nextcloud client not running anymore after system standby. Looking into info bar, the icon has vanished.
Nextcloud client has to be restarted manually.
Looking into system logs one can see a core/ memory dump (output attached to ticket)
Seems this is a regression since 3.17.0 (not sure)

Steps to reproduce

Nextcloud client is running.

Put device into sleep mode.
Return from sleep mode
Nextcloud client not running anymore
Occurence: > 50%

Expected behavior

Nextcloud client is still running properly after system has returned from sleep mode.

Does the same happen with 4.0.1?

@camilasan I can reproduce this with 4.0.1 on fedora. It sometimes just happens. I can not trigger it manually.

It might only happen when the internet connection is lost during the sleep. But since I could not reproduce it, I cant really tell.

i have the same problem (3.17.3) on two different mashines, both with linux mint. i now installed 4.0.1 some minutes ago. will report how it goes. until then the log regarding the crash of 3.17.3.

Update diving deeper in the topic: i noticed, that there is still another instance of the client installed (deb version of older nextcloud client which i never used). i uninstalled it and will report again if the crashes still continue.

I see very similar crashes on Ubuntu, but the error message is "terminated by signal SIGBUS (Misaligned address error)".

hey i noticed until now, the error stopped on my mashines, after i uninstalled all "nextcloud-desktop" packages so removing /usr/bin/nextcloud (i'm using the AppImage instead). i got suspicous after the crash was reported form /usr/bin/nextcloud and not the AppImage. there seemed to be some nextcloud service starting after sleep-wakeup which caused an error (in tray section). can anyone confirm this?

edit: i'm on linux mint / ubuntu

In my case there is no "parallel" installation like this - I just have the Appimage in my system (searched the whole fs).

same for me: it just happened again on my desktop after the previous mentioned steps and after updating to 4.0.1.
