Description
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Currently, in the Files tab of Nextcloud it is only possible to view existing Team folders (Group Folders).
If you are an administrator and want to create a new Team folder, you always have to go to Admin settings → Team folders.
This is inconvenient in daily usage, especially for administrators who work with Team folders frequently or need to create them on the fly. The Files tab is the central workspace in Nextcloud, but it does not provide any option to manage Team folders.
Describe the solution you'd like
I would like administrators to be able to create new Team folders directly from the Files tab, in addition to viewing existing ones.
For users with admin privileges, this could include:
• Creating new Team folders directly in the Files tab
• Optionally managing Team folders there (e.g. rename, delete), similar to what is currently possible in the admin settings
Example:
Files tab → Team folders section
Button “Create new Team folder” (visible only to administrators)
Describe alternatives you've considered
• Continuing to create Team folders only via the Admin settings (current behavior)
• Relying on documentation or internal workflows to remind administrators where Team folders can be created
Additional context
• This feature would significantly improve usability for administrators
• It aligns well with Nextcloud’s philosophy of making core functionality available directly in the Files tab
• Especially useful for larger installations or environments with frequently changing team structures
